Wisper is seeking a full-time non-exempt Construction Tower Technician 3 (weekly local travel) to join our Network Construction Team. You'll work closely with the Tower Construction Foreman to ensure tower crews are operating at maximum efficiency & safety. This role will often serve as the Lead on the Tower Top Side and must ensure that all team members adhere to Wisper's safety & operating standards. Responsibilities for this role include numerous manual labor tasks involved with the installation, service, and decommission of wireless internet service tower equipment throughout our network. Training will include best practices and safety standards. This position may require off duty hours work to be performed as needed by the department. This position does require weekly travel (home on weekends) within our Midwest network.

Construction Tower Tech 3 - Travel Position

Hours: 6:30 AM Summer Starts 40 + hours/week

Pay: $24 - $28 per hour

Essential Job Functions

Assist Tower Contruction Foreman with quality control work; Create & execute Statements of Work (SOW); Utilize the Wisper project module;
•Climb towers up to 1000 ft .•Install/maintain wireless Internet equipment •Mount Internet equipment & relay data cables to each device •Install battery backups & grounding systems for equipment
•Prepare equipment for installation •Follow training protocols & safety briefings; Configuration of approved devices as directed; database & docoumentation updates; On-site analysis as needed
• Train & mentor Tier 1 & 2 Tower Technicians; Supervise the installation & the mounting of internet equipment & relay data cables; Install battery backups & grounding systems; Supervise preparation of equipment for installation; Other duties as directed

Job Requirements
•Valid driver's license
•Ability to be added to the Company auto insurance policy

Successful completion of all Tower Tech Tier 1 & Tier 2 Duties - Minimum 1 year demonstrated experience as a Tower Tech Tier 2
•Must successfully complete required tower training within 90 days of hire •Obtain & maintain the provided training certifications per industry standards •Ability to climb towers up to 1000 ft. •Work after normal business hours & weekends as needed •Overnight travel up to 1 week at a time •Legally authorized to work in country of employmentwithout requiring sponsorship for employment visa status, now or in the future • Ability to obtain DOT certification

Fast-paced environment with multiple changes to schedules & fluctuating priorities, work is performed primarily outdoors & in all weather conditions & at roof-top/tower-level heights and in tight spaces.
